Lake Bled

In the evening we’ll take a walk around the lake (not the whole lake, though :-) ) so we could breathe in the fresh air and take in the iconic beauty of the steepled church on the tiny island set against the mountains in the backdrop during the blue hour.

Jamnik Church

Rise and photograph! The break of day will take us to our sunrise location, throwing our way some dramatic views of one of Slovenia’s most photographed sites. And rightly so - sitting atop a bare green hill surrounded by forested hillsides, the church commands a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains in the background with patches of light scrambling through the leaves of trees around.

Pericnik Waterfall

For our day field trip, we’ll venture inside the Triglav National Park. Ranking among one of the highest in the country, this beauty’s falling mass of water cuts some 52 meters deep below. And the fact that you can walk behind it makes it a must on our itinerary. If the weather is cloudy, it might as well happen we might wait the evening out by the waterfall. Otherwise we’ll head towards Bohinj.

Lake Bohinj

If you think Bled is spectacular, then you will stand corrected once we land by the blue-green waters of Lake Bohinj to chase the sunset for the day. The evening reflections on its crystal-clear water will literally knock your socks off.

Kozjak Waterfall and Tolminka River Gorge

We’ll spend the better part of the day exploring the treasures of Triglav National Park some more. And this time, it will be the Tolmin deep valleys and gorges, carved into limestone by River Tolminka, with the Kozjak Waterfall in hiding. Just wait till you see its waters gushing over a rocky ledge into the emerald pool of the creek below - pure nature’s amphitheater.

St. Thomas Church

This time, our sunrise chase will be all about this church, beautifully tucked into the foothills of the Alps. And if we’re lucky with fog crawling through the valley, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of the church as if floating on a sea of misty waves.

Mostnica Gorge

How about some creative and alluring forces of nature for lunch as something extra on your plate? Then we can totally dine on a serving of the breathtaking views of the turquoise waters bubbling at the bottom of this idyllic gorge.

Kranjska Gora

Nudging both the Austrian and Italian borders, this spot overflowing with charming local architecture in the foreground and the magnificent massif of Triglav standing guard in the back will be your sunset good-bye with the day.

Any Questions First?

Digital camera (i.e. DSLR or mirrorless camera) with wide angle lenses highly recommended for landscape photos, and telephoto lenses comes in real handy, especially when you wish to get some detail of the landscape. Good tripod and a remote shutter release for tack sharp pictures. Neutral density and polarizer filters (if you have any).
Make sure you pack up warm and waterproof gear. It can get pretty cold or damp. We are talking mountain weather and Slovenia is no exception :)
Most of the photo spots are easily approachable from the car, typically only a few hundred meters of walking distance. We can also organize a moderate hike during the photo tour to reach other great spots for shooting, but it’ll always be conditioned by the physical shape the other attendees are in.
We prioritize the comfort of our guests and therefore all of our tours are designed for single occupancy.
The minimum number of attendees on this photo tour is 4.
The maximum number of attendees is 7 attendees per tour.
In that case, it’s up to us to decide whether we want to organize the photo tour anyways, and we’ll update you shortly. In case we decide to not go through with the tour, we’ll return you the money paid in the tour account asap.

The tour itinerary is only set as the basic outline of the tour - it is not hardwired into the program because it largely depends on the weather conditions. It is in our best interest to try hard and deliver the best experience, in fair and foul weather, according to the situation we are facing.
First, you book the tour via the booking form linked from the detail page of the particular photo tour. As soon as we receive your booking request, we’ll let you know whether your booking was confirmed.
